IT Outsourcing FAQ
Below are some of the most common questions we get when engaging with a potential client.
Q: We're thinking of outsourcing, but how can you we bring AIO into our office for a meeting without our IT person(s) knowing about it? A: Yes, we understand the complications and it's simple. We schedule meetings after hours at time that is convenient for you and we work around your schedule to accommodate your needs.
Q: We're nervous that if we terminate our IT staff they'll hack into our system and take it down. A: First off, that is not only unethical but highly illegal. Any time we engage with a new customer our Security Engineers come in the night before to ensure that your system is locked down and that any possible "back doors" are closed prior to any employee terminations.
Q: We don't know the Administrator passwords to all of our devices and we're apprehensive to ask for them because we don't want to tip off the IT person that he may be getting terminated. A: Not a problem. We have Security Engineers who specialize in Administrator password recovery and resets to ensure that you and we will have full access to all of your systems.
Q: Wait, I am the IT guy and I'm just looking for some additional help and/or project work. I'm nervous to hire AIO for fear of losing my job! A: Don't be alarmed, we work with in conjunction with IT professionals and offer a custom solution based on your needs. We also offer assistance for individual projects. Check out our IT Manager page for more information.
Q: Our system is "different" than any system you've probably worked on. We use "special" or "custom" software. How can we be sure that you will be able to support our system? A: AIO understands "different". IT systems are like snowflakes; no two are the same. While many components may be similar from system to system no two are identical. We have designed and supported hundreds of systems and no two are identical. We make sure our helpdesk technicians and system engineers are trained on your system and have knowledge of your applications prior to taking it over.
Q: Our equipment is very old, we constantly have technical support issues, and we feel as if we are "band-aiding" the system rather than getting to the root of the problem but we can't afford to replace the entire system. A: You are not alone. We've been in this situation with many of our clients. Let us evaluate your system and produce a report outlining the underlying issues. We can then work together to plan the most effective way to properly rectify them. We understand budgets, capital expenses, and cash flow. After all, we are a working business too! We specialize in creative solutions to solve your issues.
Q: We just bought a new system to replace our old one and our IT provider can't seem to get it working properly. The project has been 80% done for months and it doesn't seem like it will ever be 100% complete. Can AIO finish the job and take over the support at this juncture? A: Absolutely. You'd be surprised how many times AIO is called in to clean up someone else's mess. We will evaluate what has been done and what needs to be done and put a real timeline together so there is a deadline when your system will be 100% complete while supporting it along the way.
Q: We have offices throughout the U.S. Can you handle them all? A: Of course! AIO has sales offices in many major metropolitan cities but our on-site support coverage is available world-wide.
Q: We've heard a lot about "remote support", but how often can your technicians really fix a problem without being on site? A: Yes we can. In fact, this is the most asked question. Within the first week of supporting a new company we turn the client into a believer. Our support team effectively resolves 80% of support issues remotely.
