Linux Magazine has selected VMWare as one of its top companies to watch in 2009, according to a recent press release.  Linux Magazine’s list highlights firms  “that are well positioned to spur Linux and open-source adoption in the coming year while delivering on the immediate needs of the marketplace,” says the release.

VMWare continues to be closely tied to the Linux and open source technology industry as a major player in the virtualization space, with a product that runs natively on Linux, as well as on Windows to allow Linux as a virtual machine.
